FD-258

Also called fingerprint card · FD 258 · fingerprints · standard fingerprint form · applicant fingerprint card

Definition

The FBI's standard fingerprint card, used to capture and submit an applicant's fingerprints in support of a request.

Context

The card is a form; taking the prints is a separate service, commonly performed by a law enforcement agency or a private fingerprinting provider. A poorly captured card is a common cause of a rejected submission.
